Ghyampe Danda

Ghyampe Danda, which is named after big soil pot (Ghyampo) is a recently explored tourism hub. This beautiful green hill is just 14 Km away from Kathmandu and lies in the southwestern side of Bhaktapur at a height of 2000m from sea level which offers famous shrines and temples, Natural habitat of different flora and fauna, Panoramic views of Kathmandu valley and various Himalayan ranges.Also Ranikot Gadhi lies here. The Government of Nepal recognized Ghyampe Danda and its periphery for historical, cultural and natural significance recently, so the GoN and other concerned stakeholders are also planning to make a zoological garden in its extended forest.The Government of Nepal has made a recent declaration to make it a tourism spot as it has enhanced its popularity among prospective visitors.

The forest that spreads the areas of 245.165 hectares is home to various faunal and floral species. The entire forest looks beautiful when the colorful rhododendrons bloom in April and May. The higher you go through the forest road, the deeper you lose yourself into the ecstasy of seeing the unique natural beauties, sereneness, calmness and chirping of birds.

Chuche Dhunga

Chuche Dhunga is popular place among people these days for its view point. It lies in Ranikot which is very near from Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur.

How to get

Getting to Village Highland Resort is easy access by vehicle. The resort is ideally situated in the south of Bhaktapur city 7 km away from Suryabinayak chowk and 17 km from Tribhuvan International Airpot, Kathmandu. It is 7 Km pitched and graveled road from Suryabinayak to Ranikot.
