Boudhanath Stupa is the biggest stupa in Nepal & the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet.

It's one of the biggest Buddhist stupas in the world keeps an eye out in every direction.

Boudhanath is the largest stupa in Nepal which was probably built during the 14th century after the Mughal invasions. Following the Chinese invasion in 1959, many Tibetans came to this stupa which today has become one of the most important centres of Tibetan Buddhism. It remains a significant place of pilgrimage for Tibetan Buddhists and Nepalis. Located in the town of Boudha towards the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu, Boudhanath looks like a giant mandala. One can roam around to buy local Tibetan stuff from the vendors around the stupa. Surrounding Boudhanath Stupa are narrow streets which are lined with colourful homes and beautiful Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.

विवाहको समय छोरीचेली कुटुम्बलाई जिम्मा दिने बेलामा ४ वस्तु हरुलाई साक्षीको रुपमा राखेको हुन्छन् | जस्तै १) विवाह हुने स्थलको अलौकिक देवी देवताहरु, २) हिमालको डाँफे र तराइको मयुँरहरु को लागि जिउदो कुखुराको भाले, ३) जल जन्तु हरु गोही कछुवा आदिका लागि जिउउदो माछा र ४) विवाह हुने स्थलमा उपस्थित भएको सजन महानुभावहरु गरि जम्मा ४ वस्तु हरु लाइ साक्षी राखेर ति विबाह भइ रहेको छोरिचेलि कुटुम्बलाई जिम्मा दिइन्छ। यसलाई नै चारदाम भनिन्छ। उक्त समारोहमा सबै कुरा जिम्मा दिएत पनि छोरीचेली को रुइ अर्थात् थर चाही माइती संग नै रहने छ।

तामाङ समुदायमा विवाहको बेला कुटुम्बलाई छोरीचेली दिदा चारदामको बेलामा चेलीको रगत, मासु, शरीर सबै कुटुम्बलाइ जिम्मा लगाईने तर थर चाही माइती संग नै राखी कुटुम्बलाइ नदिने भन्ने चलन छ, त्यसै गरि मृत्युपश्चात पनि ति चेलीको लाश माइतीको उपस्थिति मा मात्र दाहसंस्कार गर्ने चलन छ।

Sailung is an area that is located in the border area of Dolakha and Ramechhap district. Most of the region lies in Dolakha itself. This place was named Sailung as it has around hundred small hillocks rolling over the whole place like the meadows of heaven. After climbing up a certain altitude, only thing we can see is the hillocks all around and also the mountains surrounding the landscape. It is also famous as a Hindu religious site for Sailungeshwor Mahadev, a form of Lord Shiva residing over Sailung watching over the Himalayas.

Sailung is a converging point of nature and religion. It is situated at an altitude of 3150m, southwest of Charikot at Saya Thumka hill. It is an important religious and potential tourism destination. With Sailungeshor Mahadev and hundred of pleasing green hills, this is an amazing adventure pilgrimage.

From sailung, 80% of the Himalayan ranges in Nepal including Mt. Everest, Machhapuchhre, Ganesh Himal, Kathmandu Valley and Terai regions can be seen in a clear day. During winter, these hills are covered with snow for two months. Hundreds and thousands of devotees visit Sailung Dada on Janai Purnima, Balachaturdashi, and the Bara Barse Mela (carnival that occurs once in 12 years). It is also renowned as one of the places Gautam Buddha visited during his lifetime. Also, 13 colors of the sun can be seen in a day. The area is a famous as a Natural view tower and is rich in Tamang culture.

In a nutshell, Sailung provides a fantastic panoramic view of the Himalaya. You can visit the place both in winter and summer seasons.

Sailung can be a beautiful destination for anyone looking for few days off residing around Kathmandu. This place is very near from Kathmandu specially. Whenever one talks about Dolakha, Kalinchowk and Jiri are the places most discussed about. I came to know that very few people knew about Sailung. This place can be reached through a motorable road that leads the way up from Mude, Dolakha. The best way to complete this trip in short but excellent way would be to travel from Mude to Dhunge. After spending a night at Dhunge, next day you can hike up to the Sailung hills to see the golden sunrise. The trip from Kathmandu to Mude takes about 5 hours. From Mude, it is around 26 kilometers upto Dhunge, but due to bad road condition, it takes about 2-3 hours to get there. At Dhunge, there are very limited hotels to stay. You can stay there in a local lifestyle and enjoy talking with people over there.

Aircraft Museum Kathmandu is an aviation museum located in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, Nepal. The museum is inside an Airbus A330-300 of Turkish Airlines that only flew for about eight months before suffering a runway excursion at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu in March 2015. It was established under a joint initiative by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and pilot Bed Upreti and his trust. This museum was officially opened to public on 28 November, 2017. The museum's exhibits include the aircraft's original cockpit setting, model and miniature aircraft and items documenting the history of Nepalese aviation. The museum is the second of its kind in Nepal, after Bed Upreti had already set up a similar, yet smaller aviation museum, the Aircraft Museum Dhangadhi in Dhangadhi in Western Nepal. The museum cost around NPRs 70 million.

Khadadevi Mandir (Temple) is one of the famous temple of Ramechhap district. In the recent days, its popularity is increasing across Nepal. It lies east of Kathmandu district and about three hours of bike ride to get there. It takes around one to one and a half hour bike ride from Sitkha, Mulkot (BP highway). You can easily reach there and come back Kahtmandu within a day. The temple lies on a top of hill. We can enjoy 360-degree surrounding view from the temple. When we reached there, we found the temple to be neat and clean and with beautiful flower gardens around. 

खाँडादेवी मन्दिर जसलाई पहिला षाँडा देवी पनि भनिन्छ । यो मन्दिर नेपालको रामेछाप जिल्लाको खाँडादेवी गाविसमा रहेको छ । । शक्तिपीठको रुपमा सदियौंदेखि भक्तजनहरुले मान्दै आएकी खाँडादेवीमा चैते दसैं र बडादसैंका बेला ठूलो मेला लाग्ने गरेको छ । दसैंका बेला ठूलो मात्रामा पञ्चवली दिइने खाँडादेवीमा वर्षैभरी रामेछाप, सिन्धुली, काभ्रेपलाञ्चोक, ओखलढुङ्गा, दोलखा लगायत तराईका विभिन्न जिल्ला र काठमाडौंबाट पनि भक्तजनहरु दर्शनका लागि पुग्ने गर्छन् । 

खाँडादेवी प्रचारबाट ओझल परेको शक्ति पीठ हो । खाँडादेवीसम्बन्धी स्थानीय भक्तजनमा धेरैखालका जनश्रुति र किम्वदन्तीहरु रहेको पाइन्छ । तर त्यस्ता जनश्रुति र किम्बदन्तिहरूभन्दा पनि हिमवत्खण्डमा उल्लेख भएअनुसार रोशी खोला र सुनकोशी नदीको संगमस्थलमा रहेको कुशेश्वरमा देवीले शुम्भ निशुम्भ नामका राक्षसलाई बध गरी दुर्गा नदीमा खड्ग पखाली खाँडादेवी मन्दिर रहेको स्थानमा खड्ग गाडेर कालीञ्चोकमा अन्तरध्यान भएकी हुन् । खाँडादेवी मन्दिरको पुजारी तामाङ जातिको हुनुले पनि खाँडादेवीलाई भिन्न र विशिष्ट पीठको रुपमा बुझ्न सकिन्छ । पुजारीमा देवी चढेको बेला बताइएअनुसार विक्रम सम्वत् १५१५ माघ १५ गते मंगलबारका दिन खाँडादेवीको शीला उत्पत्ति भएको हो । खाँडादेवीको शक्तिबाट प्रभावित भई पकरबासका वासिन्दाहरुले मन्दिरमा चढाएको घण्टाबाट पनि यो मन्दिर निकै पूरानो हो भन्ने तथ्य पत्ता लाग्छ । विसं १५७३ सालमा चढाइएको सो घण्टामा अहिले पनि मन्दिरमा देख्न सकिन्छ । 

नेपाल एकिकरण गर्ने क्रममा पृथ्वीनारायण शाहले पूर्वी किल्लालाई बलियो बनाउन सिन्धुलीगढीपछि खाँडादेवीमा सहायक गढीको रुपमा किल्ला बनाएका थिए । अङ्ग्रेजसँगको लडाईँ जित्नको लागि पृथ्वीनारायणले खाँडादेवीसँग आशिर्वाद लिएको जनश्रुती पाइन्छ । सिन्धुलीगढीको लडाईमा विजयप्राप्त गरेपछि

खाँडादेवीको शिलालाई राजधानीमा ल्याई राख्ने योजना राजाले बनाएका थिए । शिला ल्याउनका लागि आफ्ना सेनालाई आदेश दिए । सेनाले कतै पनि नबिसाई ल्याएको शीलालाई साँगामा ल्याएर विसाउँदा खाँडादेवीको शीला अलप भइन् । तेस्रो पटक भक्तपुरको खोपीढुंगामा ल्याएर बिसाउँदा खाँडादेवीको शीला फेरि पनि अलप भयो । कसै गरेपनि खाँडादेवीको शीला ल्याउन नसकेपछि पृथ्वीनारायण शाहले त्यही बेलादेखि कमलामाईलाई परेवा, मंगलादेवीलाई भाले, भैरवदेवीलाई राँगा र खाँडादेवीलाई हाँस र बोका बली दिन भनी आदेश दिएका थिए भन्ने जनश्रुती सुन्न पाइन्छ । 

खाँडादेवीलाई राजधानी ल्याउन नसक्नुको पनि रोचक प्रसङ्ग छ । रामेछाप गेलुका सनमान पहरी र दुमना पहरीको कोखबाट सुकमाया पहरी भन्ने बत्तीस लक्षणयुक्त कन्या जन्मेकी थिइन । बत्तीस लक्षणले युक्त सुकुमायालाई रानी बनाउन राजाले दरबारमा लगेछन् । दरबारमा सुकुमाया खुशी नभएपछि राजाले उनलाई गेलुमामा नै फर्काइ दिएछन् । गेलु आउने क्रममा षाँडादेवीनिर आइपुगेपछि सुकमाया अलप भइछन् र तितेपातीको छाप्रो बनाएर मान्छेदेखि अदृश्य भएर बसिन् । अहिले पनि दसैंका बेला छानो स्वरुप मन्दिरमा तितेपाती चढाइने गरिन्छ । पहरी जातिले अहिले पनि खाँडादेवीलाई आफ्नो चेलीको रुपमा पूजा गर्दछन् ।
